JULIE ANDREWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

May 12

Julie Andrews, Author of The Very Fairy Princess Takes the Stage.

May 12, Thursday,

4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.,

Free, Ticketed Event

Limited to 200 Tickets.

The Red Balloon Bookshop is delighted to welcome the incomparable Julie Andrews to our bookshop in Saint Paul. Miss Andrews will be here to sign her new book The Very Fairy Princess Takes the Stage. In this story, which Julie Andrews co-authored with her daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton, fairy princess Gerry is dismayed to discover that she has been cast as the Court Jester in her ballet recital. How can this be? Clearly, she should be The Crystal Princess -- what better way for the audience to see her crown, after all! The whimsically elegant illustrations highlight Gerry's sparkling personality as she saves the day for a ballet recital headed for disaster.

Julie Andrews is known the world over for her performances in such classic movies as "The Sound of Music," "Mary Poppins," and more recently, "The Princess Diaries." In addition to being a wonderful actor and singer, she is also the author of several well-received children's books. The Very Fairy Princess Takes the Stage is the most recent title in her collection.

What I've been up to.....ROME, TITHE, ANGELINA, CALL OF THE WILD and Holy Week

ROME: A spectacular historical soap opera that you can't take your eyes off.  So bummed they only made 2 seasons because of cost.

Tithe: A Modern Faerie TaleA old fashion fairy tale, like the ones that would scare as well as enchant. Sixteen-year-old Kaye is a modern nomad. Fierce and independent, she travels from city to city with her mother's rock band until an ominous attack forces Kaye back to her childhood home. There, amid the industrial, blue-collar New Jersey backdrop, Kaye soon finds herself an unwilling pawn in an ancient power struggle between two rival faerie kingdoms -- a struggle that could very well mean her death
angelina-coverSomehow she fascinates me.
Call of the Wild always intrigues me with it's images and language of going back to the primal nature of our beings.

Last night we listened to Russ Connors speak about his journey with cancer. He is a great man and I hope God gives him what he wants in this journey.
Theology professor takes on “Unfinished Business”

Today the WOHS had the Stations of the Cross as told by Mary. This site is like what we read, in a way.
http://onlineministries.creighton.edu/CollaborativeMinistry/stations-with-Mary.html Ours seemed gentler, but we had Teresa Naughton reading with such compassion.  I felt like Mary was there.

So busy, but life is good!
