To My Friend Steve at Skinner's Pub
You were the guy who made everyone feel loved and welcomed. You made me proud to be a teacher. God will welcome you with open arms because he finally has someone who's a happy drinker and tells a great story that is 5% true.
I'll miss you.

St Thomas More's Farmers Market
We are going to make salsa for cooking class! We walked down to St. Thomas Moore's Market and we divided into groups and bought our goods. People were very nice and interested in hat we were doing.
It took us too long to walk back to the school, so we're cooking on Monday.
It's so convenient that the market is located right in the neighborhood.

Watching Psych and hearing one of my fav songs from long ago that always made me think. Haunting and bewitching. Makes you think about the new school year and what not to do.
Tears for Fears
"Mad World"
All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
And their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
'Cos I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very
Mad World
Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday
Made to feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen, sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me, no one knew me
Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson
Look right through me, look right through me

A week has gone by????????
I can't believe it has been a week since my last post, but it has been crazy busy around here. School starting for the kids and me, State Fair, AZ Gallery, choir, WOHS, etc.....it all starts up again.
I am currently reading Little Bee. I find it to be engrossing when I have found time to read. The story is very sad, inspirational, heart wrenching, disturbing and horrifying. The character, Charlie has stolen my heart. He is a little boy who wears a Batman costume all the time. The scene at his Father's funeral reminded me so much of my son at his Grandmothers funeral. Read it. You'll not forget or regret it.
